Assessing project requirements
Agreeing budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and managers
Liaising with suppliers
Undertaking relevant research
Producing and implementing designs and test procedures
Measuring performance of mechanical components, devices and engines
Testing, evaluating, modifying and re-testing products
Writing reports and documentation
Providing technical advice
Analysing and interpreting data.
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 8 years experience in Mechanical Commissioning field preferably with background on POWER PLANTS.
Candidate must be able to read piping and instrument drawings and other engineering documents.
Knowledge in Operation of common Smelter equipment such conveyors, pumps, fans, airslides/conveying systems, tending cranes, furnaces, cooling towers, rotary feeders, compressors, Hoists, Dust Collectors, HVAC, Hydraulic Units, Heat exchangers, silos.
Knowledge in Safety requirements, construction techniques, tools and equipment and protective tagging systems.
Operates from established and well-known procedures under general directions.
