As a Mechanical Technician, you will undertake a duel role involving supporting the Maintenance or Facilities Engineers and ensuring that business goals are achieved. You will utilise the available resources and budget to provide the highest standards of mechanical maintenance and minimise downtime.
Providing effective support to the Facilities Engineer or the RST Team, you will provide a corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance service. You will identify faults, implement new ideas and identify areas where cost reduction activities could be successful.
Additionally, you will be tasked with conducting work in accordance with schedules, undertaking running repairs on all equipment and responding to day-to-day mechanical maintenance issues.
- A recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification
- Proven experience of maintaining complex automated manufacturing equipment
As a Mechanical Technician, you must possess strong, professional communication skills and a logical and methodical approach to problem solving. Conscientious and accurate, you must also have a good eye for detail and the ability to work on your own initiative.
Experience of using FLT and MEWPS would be beneficial to your application.
