The Medical Adviser provides strategic advice to support their therapeutic area. The role also provides the broader company with product and therapeutic expertise and champions high corporate ethical standards.
Medical input to the franchise
Working with external health care professionals
Support for other functions such as pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, clinical research, outcomes research and medical information.
Personal Development is provided through DipPharmMed and Higher Medical Training for physicians and through other development opportunities for scientists.
Physician. Pharmacist or scientist considered with relevant pharmaceutical industry experience. If non-Physician, PhD is required.
Clinical knowledge of therapy area relevant to the position applied for
High ethical standards
Demonstrable high level verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to work within a team, particularly in a matrix
Critical evaluation skills
For physicians: clinical experience to gain GMC registration and preferably sufficient general medical training to have membership of the relevant Royal College.
For scientists, experience of research, drug development or pharma industry.
