Reporting to: The First Line Sales Manager
As a Pharmaceutical Sales OR Medical Representative you will be reporting to the First Line Sales Manager.
You will be directly contacting clients within hospitals to promote our products and generate sales, specifically on the company's products. This is a face-to-face role as the successful candidate will be involved in building good rapport with potential and existing clients and creating the opportunity to organize educational meetings and presentations to promote the pharmaceutical products.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Sales Representative to enter a new challenging role.
The ideal candidate should have experience of working as a Sales Executive, ideally gained by selling pharmaceutical or medical products to the hospitals, Institutions and Pharmacies to achieve sales targets.
Must be self motivated and have enthusiasm for exceeding sales targets, candidate must also be mentally and physically fit as this is a field based role.
To positively influence customers' prescribing behaviour to achieve sales targets.
Develop territory and build strong customer relationships with the objective of maximizing sales volume and market share of designated products on a given territory.
Key Performance Areas:
Effectively implement sales strategy and tactics. plan of action (POA) in accordance with company policies
Regularly monitor territory's sales performance versus budget
Facilitate enlistment of newly launched and key products in hospitals and clinics by planned date.
Initiate appropriate actions to ensure performance is in line with objectives.
Territory Business Planning:
Conduct analysis of market!Competitors to identify territory business opportunities
Develop territory Business Plan based on POA,and allocate resources (e.g. call activities, budget), for optimal sales impact ,
Monitor territory business plan to ensure resources are directed to customer of greatest potential.
Participate in promotional activity programmes to increase product awareness in the market.
Customer Focus and Service:
Update territory customer segmentation classification, database and call records continuously.
Deliver key promotional messages within approved detail aids and in line with POA.
Build trust and credibility with customers by demonstrating professionalism acting within the Company Code of Conduct.
Explore and expand new customer base in line with SFE guidelines.
Submit monthly reports commenting on deviations from Business Plan and intended actions to align performance with objectives.
Ensure punctual delivery of reports / daily synchronization.
Develop behaviours leading to enhancement effectiveness as outlined in MR competency definitions.
Identify areas for self-development and discuss developmental needs with RSM.
Attend and actively participate in sales meetings, product and sales training.
B.Sc in Human Sciences or Pharmacy or similar
Minimum of 2 years Sales Representative experience within the Pharmaceutical environment
At least 12 months experience (previous experience in Emerging Markets is an added advantage) .
Training would be provided.
Effective and demonstrated communication skills (both oral and written).
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work in a self directed manner.
