Sky.com is the online presence of Sky TV and Sky Broadband and the gateway to its network of sites including Sky News, Sky Sports and Sky Living as well as Sky customer services and sales.
We’re looking for an experience Editor to join the Sky.com homepage team to ensure all the homepage content is fresh, engaging, well balanced and reflective of Sky values as well as sourcing & editing photos and must-see video content. You will work with marketing teams to deliver campaigns to their requirements taking ownership of optimising the performance from the homepage and help measure the response. Ideally, you will have good knowledge of Sky television programming, and a strong interest in sports, current affairs and entertainment news as well as being very commercially focussed, understanding the need to drive traffic to sales and service areas of the site and the importance of quantifying this.
With your eye for photos that could make a big impact on the homepage, and for videos that everyone will want to watch and share, as well as experience writing the kind headlines that get an audience clicking, you will be a solid all-rounder, who is passionate about producing excellent quality work and has an enthusiastic attitude to working in a busy and varied team.
Key for this role will be your experience of having worked in a similar environment, perhaps for a television or newspaper website, as well as your experience of using Content Management Systems and an interest and involvement in social media. You will also be able to work well under pressure and react quickly to produce engaging content to deadline
