Will work to prevent and reduce injuries at the workplace. Occupational health and safety specialists identify potential hazards and figure out how to prevent or reduce risk of injuries and accidents to workers or to the public.
Occupational health and safety specialists will be involved with issues such as ergonomics, chemical hazards and maintaining machinery at proper safety levels.
Occupational health and safety specialists will also investigate accidents and write reports about the causes; they provide recommendations to prevent accidents in the future.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health or a bachelor’s degree in a related technical or scientific field such as biology, engineering or chemistry. Minimum of 2 years working experience.
