Job Description

• Provide leadership within the discipline in the delivery of onshore pipeline projects; 

• Develop the engineering design in accordance with the approved design philosophy, codes and standards; 

• Interface with other disciplines, ensuring their input and timely design; 

• Preparation and review of engineering documents i.e. design reports, material specifications, data sheets, MTOs, drawings, construction and testing specifications, requisitions etc; 

• Pipeline routing, route selection and route optimisation; 

• Contribute towards bids and tenders; 

• Undertake & check design calculations; Perform all reasonable job tasks required by line manager. 

• Contribute to the development of team members.


• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Subsea Engineering industry. 

• Minimum 10 years of experience undertaking the design of large diameter cross country onshore pipelines. 

• Minimum - first Degree or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline. 

• Experience with working on feasibility, concept & FEED studies, option reviews etc. 

• Experience of in the preparation and checking of onshore pipeline mechanical design calculations 

• Experience with MathCad. 

• Experience of developing and checking isometrics, general arrangements, field layouts, alignment sheets & approach drawings. 

• Excellent communication skills. 

• Excellent report writing skills. 

• Full command of English language. 

• Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS office software. Preferred: 

• Preparation of material and equipment specifications & data sheets.
