Job Description

KNPC clean Fuels project 

Responsibilities

- Execute assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including our client and / or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour and cost budgets and the project schedule targets

- Liaise with Project Co-ordinating Engineer regarding the interpretation of Client's Specifications and Standards

- Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department

- Liaise with Process Engineering Department as required during the initial design investigation stage when process design philosophy and process equipment specifications are established and during contract execution

- Issue material requisitions to the Materials Management Department for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions

- Prepare the master Requisition Index and update and issue it on a regular basis

- Review Vendor’s quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor, in conjunction with the

- Materials Management Department commercial quotation evaluation

- Review document requirements and issue dates for major equipment with Vendors at the pre-order meeting

- Compile, update and issue a Vendor’s Document Index (VDI) on a monthly basis

- Distribute Vendor documentation to the various Group and co-ordinate their comments

- Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Vendor

- Correspond with the Vendor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary

- Liaise with Materials Management Department to obtain all necessary Vendor information; in particular review with the Materials Management Department late vendor documentation for expediting

- Liaise with the Project Engineer and other groups regarding information required by Design Engineers

- Issue copies of final documentation for inclusion in the Mechanical Catalogues

- Provide assistance to the Materials Management Department on engineering matters, inspection and witnessing of tests of major equipment as required

Requirements

- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, while chartered status is also preferable

- Experience should cover a wide range of Package Equipment, including skid mounted packages

- Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills

- Experience with a contractor, operator or consultancy on refinery, petrochemical, pharmaceutical or oil & gas projects

- Computer literate within Microsoft Office

- Experience of Vendor co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings as required in order to establish full understanding of scope of supply
