Act as technical owner and single point of contact for all Control & Instrument, Electrical, Metering and Telecoms contracts whilst providing guidance and direction in the contract preparation and implementation phases.
Perform the role of ‘Demand Manager’ for nominated contracts and thus ensure compliance with group Contracts and Procurement Standards.
Manage discipline Engineers workload on a priority basis as agreed with Asset Managers and line manager.
Monitor maintenance performance and provide maintenance strategy improvements ensuring outputs from reliability and availability modelling are incorporated into the improvement process.
Ensure discipline compliance with Group Management of Change (MoC) process and perform role of Job Responsible Engineer within the process as required.
Responsible for cross asset maintenance support of Controls + Automation, Instrumentation + Safety Instrument Systems.
Owner of discipline ‘Obsolescence Strategy’ ensuring suitable mitigation and improvement plans are developed, communicated and progressed.
Ensure the accurate identification of safety and production critical spares to ensure minimum stock holding. Engage with Materials Management team to ensure regular material reviews to ensure stock optimisation.
Provide technical assistance to purchasing team in selection/review of replacement hardware.
Accountable for the discipline teams compliance with integrated planning standards thus leading to the safe and successful execution of maintenance activities.
Responsible for ensuring all CAP (Constrained Activity Plan) activities contained within the WMS are included on the two, three and 8 year business plans as required.
Maintain a 5 year forward discipline plan for shutdown requirements.
Complete twelve monthly reviews of all SCEs and associated performance standards to ensure compliance with verification assurance methods.
Liaise with vendors and sub-contractors to improve equipment performance and reliability. Track performance against group KPIs.
Ensure WMS system contains a comprehensive and accurate maintenance strategy. Continually review and audit completed work orders for technical content and accuracy and provide suitable feedback.

Leading change projects. Can clearly demonstrate achievements in this area. Specific authority to challenge capability and capacity of human resource and to set standards.
Demonstrating safety leadership and promoting a safety culture amongst all personnel.
Can clearly demonstrate previous experience of successful contract management leading to the safe and successful execution of work both onshore and offshore.
Implementation of remedial actions to sustain/improve reliability/availability.
Monitoring production efficiency and implementing improvements.
Experience of working across multiple platforms (operated and non-operated) and successfully influencing partners to improve performance and change work practices.
Chartered Engineer or equivalent preferred.
A high level of competency and experience of working with Maintenance Management Systems.
Knowledge of maintenance philosophies and strategies, inventory management and use of maintenance systems to support core processes.
Technical knowledge relevant to discipline with at a minimum a good understanding of Offshore Electrical, Control and Instrument design and operating standards and activities.
Preferred knowledge of standard offshore Oil and Gas control systems and where possible detailed knowledge of Advant and 800xA, Invensys Triconex, LAN/WAN networking and the principles of wireless instrumentation.
