Ensure day-to-day work is performed effectively, efficiently, and safely in order to increase profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards.
Oversee project troubleshooting activities as managed by engineers and propose advanced control solutions to solve recurrent problems and issues.
Evaluate and validate advanced control proposals and recommend modifications.
Review processes within operational sectors to optimise them, taking into consideration basic and advanced control techniques.
Oversee the preparation of monthly reports and ensure they are submitted on a timely basis.
Set priorities of the process control team in coordination and allocate resources accordingly.
Participate in vendor selection and performance monitoring of external engineers.
Provide the necessary support to the respective team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Process Engineering Manager.
Candidate should be a University degree in Engineering (Metallurgical / Chemical) and with experience in Aluminium smelter/casting operation, ISO/TS certified auditor and with wag staff tooling and DBF/Deep Bed Filter and SLAB casting experience.
Minimum 5-6 years experience in Aluminium industry smelting/casting operation with focus on sheet ingot production.
In depth knowledge of internationally recognized Quality and EHS Standards.
