In this role you will be required to manage the non-air products i.e Destination Management Companies (DMCs), hotels and ground service providers of a dedicated region, as well as to lobby, negotiate and obtain competitive rates, allocations, release periods and destination/product information for dnata Travel, in order for us to meet our customer needs and in line with the departmental growth strategy. In collaboration with your team of product executives, you will manage and enhance destination supplier relationships at all levels of the respective region and be the central point of contact on all aspects related to rates, allocations or release periods, service delivery or supplier payments. Within the responsibility for direct agreements, the region?s product sales performance shall be monitored, available technology efficiently utilised and immediate appropriate action taken to re-negotiate and refine rates, allocations or release to ensure that we consistently meet commercial and operational demand.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
•Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a business related discipline.
•Minimum 5 years in the tourism industry, in customer service and relationship management
•A high quality achiever with a proven ability to exercise keen commercial judgement and decision making in the selection, negotiating and contracting of non-air
products or hotel services.
•Must posses an excellent knowledge of geography
•Clear understanding of the tourism industry and tour operations
•Superior written and oral skills in English (other languages an advantage).
