Programmatic Buying Manager with Direct Response experience to help grow our programmatic buying division. This person must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of DSPs, DMPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, and 3rd party data providers. This person must possess strong analytical skills, above-average technical acumen, and a start-up mentality and drive. He or She is required to understand the marketing challenges that our clients face and be responsible for recommending and implementing programmatic media strategies designed to drive success. As a result we need someone who is an effective communicator and is an efficient project manager. With various tools and products available, he or she must lead with innovation and relevance all the while keeping a pulse on the fragmented and competitive ad tech environment.
The primary focus of a Programmatic buying Manager is to drive real results for our clients through:
» Be a trusted advisor to internal teams as well as to our clients.
» Act as day-to-day contact for programmatic-related requests.
» Demonstrate best practices in optimization techniques.
» Hands-on experience with any DSP, SSP, and DMP is highly valued
» Expert in Excel. Comfortable with formulas (VLookUp, IF, etc.), pivot tables, trending charts, and template building.
» Data driven and analytical prowess; proven ability to synthesize data/results and identify trends/key findings
- Manipulate and distill data into actionable insights
- Develop and analyze reports
- Forecast results based on historical data and trends
- Write and decipher statistical formulas and calculations
- Base knowledge of web analytics, test & learn strategies
» Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present analysis, findings, and recommendations.
» Demonstrate a strong understanding of each client's business beyond campaign objectives.
» Find opportunities to grow business beyond existing strategies
» Deep understanding of 3rd party tracking and serving technologies, primarily DoubleClick. Expert knowledge of pixel functionality
» Craft presentations that demonstrate marketing leadership and spark innovation on the business.
» Help produce material for new business pitches and internal education.
» Assist in recruitment and lead training of more junior media staff members and find opportunities to share knowledge amongst others in the agency
» Comprehension of online business marketing metrics (Impressions, Clicks, Click-Through Rate, Conversions, CPC, ROI, Cost per Acquisition) is required.
» 5 or more years in digital media and ad tech. Experience in RTB/programmatic at a Trading Desk, DSP or DMP preferred.
» Experience in digital analytics and data-driven products required.
» Familiarity with software development, and specific methodologies such as Agile. Ideal candidate has experience working with remote engineering/R&D teams.
