Job Description

  • To provide a single point of responsibility and contact for all interfaces to and from the project team.

  • To provide support to the procurement process and represent engineering matters.

  • To provide internal coordination between defined Disciplines

  • To manage the relationships and contacts with the various interface parties and report progress to the Project Manager on a regular basis.

  • Assist the Project Management Team with assigned duties

  • To assist in achieving a design that meets all OBAX, Contract and Statutory requirements

  • Provide management and control of all interfaces to and from the OBAX project team.

  • Be a focal point for all Interfaces on the project.

  • Assist in achieving technical integrity by discipline coordination.

  • Provide safety leadership by example.

  • Assist Project Manager in the delivery of the projects engineering scope and provide specific engineering management focus on multi-disciplinary activities as required.

  • Provide leadership to the project team

  • Liaise with Client's Engineering personnel

  • Manage planning and costs issues and ensure full participation in implementation of project quality plan.

  • Manage the preparation, issue and revision of all documentation

  • Ensure that personnel are provided with the necessary tools and knowledge to execute the project scope of work

  • Ensure the implementation of applicable engineering procedures

  • Provide direction to meet job priorities and changes as required by the Project Manager.

  • Ensure interface liaison occurs between Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Planning and Estimating such that a fully integrated design results.

  • Develop relationships and contacts with key project interfaces (internal and external).

  • Be aware of current project priorities and manage interfaces to avoid delay to project schedule.

  • Provide safety leadership

  • Represent Engineering on all Procurement and Supply Chain matters.

  • Take on Ad Hoc tasks for project management and assist generally as required.

  • Convene and manage meeting

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years- 12 years post graduate experience

  • A technically qualified professional  with a minimum of  8 years - 10 years oil and gas  engineering /construction experience as a project engineer

  • B.sc /B.eng /HND or equivalent  in a relevant Engineering field

  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution

  • Must have the ability to manage, to interface with others and to communicate well at all levels.

  • Must have the commitment to identify, analyse and propose solutions to problems in a value added manner
