Job Description

To act as an expert in implementing global projects and initiatives within the retail organisation, taking responsibility for the successful implementation of all logistic projects and consciously managing change in relation to the assigned projects and initiatives at all sites and departments within the organisation.

To act as an internal consultant within the commercial team and offer know-how transfer in the area of project implementation.


  • To understand and communicate the full scope and impact of assigned projects on the customer.
  • To be responsible for taking action and giving feedback when the project implementation creates a risk impacting the customer satisfaction in a negative way.
  • To ensure that all projects are delivered in the best interest of the customer and pay special attention during peak periods, with high numbers of visitors to plan implementation.
  • To contribute to an exciting and inspiring customers’ shopping experience by sharing extensive retail know how with partners within the supplying process and being the ambassador for the customers. 
  • To lead and manage the team and work with the project team  in order to secure the successful implementation of global projects and initiatives within the organisation, in order to drive sales growth and sustained, long-term profitability.
  • To take accountability for the implementation of assigned projects/initiatives.
  • To identify gaps and risks and ensure the communication of these whilst taking action to confirm that the implementation of assigned projects / initiatives is adhered to within specific timelines.
  • To work alongside the global organisation to ensure a common message and goal.
  • To act as an internal consultant for project managers who are implementing specific projects from the Sales or Com & In functions.
  • To actively participate in creating the Country/Market Retail Logistic Business plan.
  • To check the impact of the project implementation on existing working methods and take corrective actions if necessary.
  • To evaluate and compile the relevant material for implementation, such as release notes, implementation guidelines, handbooks or checklists etc and organize translation into local language, if needed.
  • To align and adapt the global implementation plan as per relevant country.
  • To define the implementation schedule of relevant country in close cooperation with the global project organisation.
  • To create follow ups related to the implementation of the assigned projects and provide status reports.
  • To appoint super users in close cooperation with the line organisation if required.
  • To secure first level support during and after implementation, until the handover of deliveries to the line organisation after adoption and to ensure that the defined competence level is reached.
  • To work with the Change Management model to ensure the adoption of the assigned project and to maximise the potential contribution to the commercial objectives.
  • Ensure that the results of the customer satisfaction surveys, brand capital, voice and commercial reviews are used as tools for business development.
  • To adhere to global rules and guidelines as well as legal requirements, especially in relation to the project implementation.
  • To coordinate the defined activities to ensure the successful implementation of the project/initiative within set timeframes,  and work closely with colleagues in order  to secure the implementation of these prerequisites.
  • To take joint responsibility with the Regional Logistics Manager in the definition and development of the required project site, by identifying what skills are needed now and in the future to achieve the objectives of supplying projects.
  •  To work with and develop the Project Site Implementation team to ensure their Project Management skills continually improve.
  •  Encourage the Project Site implementation team to network between stores in order to share good examples and successes.
  • To transfer the relevant project and implementation competences to the respective Project Managers who are leading the project implementation in the functions of Sales and/or Com & In.
  • To lead change and translate the goal of the project into the context of a specific change initiative and bring this message to the entire organisation and redirect approaches in the face of new opportunities.
  • To secure, in close cooperation with the respective functions within the country  team, that the necessary prerequisites for a successful implementation are in place (HR, IT etc) and initiate a coordination group consisting of the needed functions and steer the group.
  • To ensure the correct budget input on country and store level.
  • To set goals based on the global and agreed KPIs focusing on the return of investment and the roll out time plan of the assigned projects.
  • To support the creation of goal letters, if relevant, in connection to each project to create a strong commitment and ownership and secure the return of investment defined by the projects (in line with global project approval).
  • To constantly monitor performance against agreed goals whilst taking action accordingly.
  • To assure quality, filter and channel fault reporting and change requests.
  • To check that all project initiatives which implemented within the organization, grow the business and support the sustainability of long-term profitability.
  • To set the budget for each project implementation in close cooperation with the Country Business Navigator and Regional Logistics Manager.
  • To control costs by working in a lean, simple, cost-conscious way using good examples and by encouraging the team to discover more effective ways of working.
