Job Description

The Project Manager will join an innovative cultural laboratory supported by NYU Abu Dhabi that forms intersections and dialogues between artists, writers, scholars, designers, technologists and the UAE landscape in both a historical and contemporary context. Through the production of art, stories, scholarship, workshops, and analogue and digital initiatives, this project will engage Emiratis, UAE residents and the world with reflections of the UAE.
As the project engages artists, scholars and technologists in making work that reflects upon the rich landscape of the UAE from both historical and contemporary perspectives. The Project Manager will ensure the project is on track, manage the integration between all teams and be in charge of all administrative/HR duties, including the budget.


Manage the project, taking into account the integration between all teams and deadlines
Define milestones and deliverables; monitor and report status of key milestones
Manage the executive team, including staffing and human resources, short-term strategic planning, contracts and external relationships, and mentoring team members
Evaluation of project and team activities
Regularly confirm and maintain budgets and financial administration in collaboration with NYU staff, Director, and Producers
Provide administrative and organizational support for the day-to-day running of the office, including weekly meetings and follow-up


Education requirements (essential)

Bachelors Degree, preferable in Fine Arts, Filmography, mass communication, or a relevant field

Experience requirements (essential)

Minimum 3 years of experience running projects
Strong verbal and written skills in English and Arabic, and knowledge of basic technology such as Google Calendar and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with the region, its culture and customs
A willingness to contribute to the project from the highest to the most mundane levels – ability to swing between everyday, detail oriented tasks and larger responsibilities
