The Security Project Manager work with the project team, overseeing the development of security systems for the protection of facilities, personnel, data and assets. The Manager coordinate the security project through its progressive stages, with the goal of project completion within specified time and budget constraints. The Project Manager will be responsible for current and upcoming projects related to business needs whether Physical Security, Access Control measures and Policies & Procedures pertaining to Administrative duties for implementations & maintaining the latter. The Project Manager plans, organizes, directs and controls project activities for effective management of electronic security installation projects.
•Understanding the needs and goals of an organization and developing an appropriate project plan is the responsibility of a Security Project Manager.
•Keeping up with the progress of the project team, which can include computer programmers, electricians, system designers and engineers.
•Throughout monitoring costs and schedules while maintaining an appropriate level of quality in security system development and installation.
•Efficient communication across all levels of a project to ensure consistency in reaching the project's goal, and to help in the recognition of any potential opportunities, risks or complications. It's the responsibility of this project manager to stay current with any advances or changes in regulations, equipment, technology and methodology.
•Responsible for the safety & security of multiple sites with employees, visitors and assets.
•Conduct Risk Assessments
•Create, implement and maintain effective processes about risks, crisis management, safety and security.
•Communication, leadership and organization. Math and computer skills are essential for many of the tasks required of a security project manager.
•To develop these necessary skills, The Security Project Manager should at least obtain a bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as business management, Risk Management, Project Management, Infrastructure and Physical Security, Access control systems, Health & Safety, computer technology, mathematics, or engineering.
•Essentials of Internet Protocol (IP) design and usage, the basics of closed-circuit television (CCTV) and access control systems and general financial concepts.
•Minimum 7 years experience in the Safety & Security Industry with at least 5 years in a similar role or managerial level.
•Minimum of 5 years experience in project management and installation of electronic security systems
•Knowledge of access control/alarm equipment, sound and communication, CCTV systems, computer network systems
•Valid Drivers License and own transport
