Job Description

New Opportunities to work for WSP Middle East as Public Relations Officer.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for the delivery of a high quality HR service to the business by providing comprehensive HR administrative support and providing advice and guidance to ensure that all processes are followed in accordance with our company policies and labour law.


PRO Duties
• To support with the processing of new, renewals and cancellations of visas
• To assist in processing business visas in different agencies
• To assist with processing dependent’s residencies
• To assist new joiners with processing their medical tests, Emirates ID and driving licenses
• To assisting with the attestation of documents by the UAE ministry of foreign affairs
• Responsible for processing new and renewals of SAIF Zone entry passes
• To assist with processing new and renewal of visas in SAIF Zone
• To assist employees who are sponsored by WSP ME Sharjah & SAIF Zone with processing their medical test
• To prepare & process new and renewal of Society of Engineers cards
• To assist with the registration of engineers in Sharjah Municipality.
• To assist with the renewal of selected company’s’ registrations such as Civil Defence, Sharjah Municipality . . . etc.

HR Administration Duties
• To accurately update HR systems with required information
• To ensure timely scanning and filing of employee documents
• To support with the organisation of new joiner logistics and their inductions

• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager
• Contribute to the delivery of the HR strategy
• To share ideas to improve HR services
• Support the companies approach to sustainability
• Attend and contribute in team meetings
• Keep up to date with labour law and visa processes to ensure up to date and proactive advice is given to employees
• Lead by example and ensure QMS and Project Lifecycle compliance across team and projects
• Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline
• Feedback on all business development opportunities

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an administration function
• Experience as a PRO is desirable, although not essential
• Experience in the Middle East is essential
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office
• Experience of working in a fast paced environment
• Proven ability in demonstrating excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as attention to detail
• Valid driving license is essential
• An Arabic speaker is desirable, although not essential
