Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall sourcing and procurement system of the hotel.

Under the supervision of the Financial Controller, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible in the acquisition of all food, beverage and goods for the hotel as in line with Corporate Purchasing Policy guidelines. The successful candidate will uphold quality standards in all relevant processes, ensuring that all safety, hygiene, licensing measures are adhered to.

A few of the defining attributes of the Purchasing Manager are his/her team-orientated personality coupled with strong business acumen. The Purchasing Manager will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of budgeting and cost control.


Experience in the same or similar capacity with a luxury hotel group

Hospitality or Finance qualifications at degree level or above

Exceptional communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

Exceptional ability to build long-lasting relationships with clients and colleagues

Relevant experience in quality driven environment

Excellent knowledge of purchasing operations

Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of local and international product/market trends

Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task

Right to unrestricted employment in India

Pre-opening experience a plus

A team player, dependent, highly motivated, mature and able to work independently with a high speed of execution

Enthusiastic to the job whilst able to challenge the status quo

Attention to detail, service-mind oriented and discreet with confidential information
