Managing all costs related to civil engineering and building projects from the first calculations to the final numbers, also to reduce the overall cost of a project thus ensuring value for money
Carrying out feasibility studies.
Cost control & cost benefit analysis.
Risk analysis evaluations.
Advising on legal issues and representing clients in disputes.
Drawing up contracts with vendors.
Negotiating the cost of projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in a relevant field such as Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
A methodical way of thinking.
Excellent negotiation skills as you must be able to convince vendors & suppliers to sell goods at a reasonable price.
Teamwork skills as you must be able to lead and motivate staff.
Detailed knowledge of existing technology in the field, legal issues and complex regulations.
The capacity to create detailed reports that are easily understood by a wide array of people.
Problem solving skills.
