Job Description

Support the business planning process and production forecasts

Managing reserves and interfacing with corporate reserves group
Managing relationships with the operator to provide both support and challenge on all subsurface activities (model building, data acquisition, infill drilling locations and reservoir simulation)
Responsible for taking subsurface activities through the clients assurance process
Formulating an independent view of development plans and making subsurface recommendations to maximize value from the Hub
Integrate with drilling, projects and commercial team members to ensure activities are effectively co-ordinated across the asset

Represents our client at the operator subsurface committee meetings (SSCM) 
Provide timely and high quality contributions to internal reporting and management presentations as required
Provide inputs to financial approval submissions e.g. Investment Committee Papers
Identifies sub-surface risks, and formulates risk register and mitigation plans
A member of the OBO asset team, contribute to the efficient delivery of overall team targets and contributing to the overall delivery of the Europe E&P Business Plan
Provide support to business activities within the Europe E&P, OBO and Operated Assets when engineering contributions are required
Promote knowledge HPHT technology transfer within the Europe E&P organisation 


Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute 
Knowledge of North Sea basins, plays and reservoirs 
Track record of providing technical delivery of production forecasts, reserves and reservoir models for the business
Experience of the key skills and behaviours required to effectively influence and support the operator and other partners within the Europe E&P OBO portfolio
Proven ability to work within multi-disciplined teams to deliver the desired business outcomes
Experience of all phases of the developments process
Experienced VAF practitioner.
Proven capability in effectively presenting their work both internally and external of the asset 
Educated to first degree level preferred and relevant post-graduate qualification in Petroleum Engineering.
Ability to work independently with little supervision, to propose priorities and agree them with management, to manage own time and to work to tight deadlines under pressure when necessary.
Experienced in reservoir modelling and simulation and skilled user of Eclipse, as well being familiar with petroleum engineering software Saphir, PVTi, nodal analysis and MEPO
Collaborative and adaptive working style.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills, able to determine the approximate impact of each issue quickly to prioritise further work.
Good IT skills using Microsoft products 
Skilled in engaging and facilitating others to think and plan new action
Good influencing skills, with the ability to effectively influence at all levels, both internally and externally
Ability to work with and gain the confidence and respect of senior management within BG and with key customers and Joint Venture partners
Effective communicator (written and oral)
