Job description
This assistant manager role reports directly to the Resource Manager for the competency. The focus is to work closely with the resourcing manager and stakeholders to successfully enable resourcing management. Largely the role involves analyzing and communication information for effective and smart resourcing solutions and optimization of resource utilization. Given the team is based in largely off-off site roles and/or based across the region (GCC & LEVANT) , excellent communication skills are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities :

· Build in - depth knowledge of people and projects of the competency to allow efficient and logical deployment decisions supported by the appropriate stakeholders

· To provide relevant information on a weekly basis to the relevant stakeholders to optimize the competency utilization

· Publish the identified resource requirements of current and forecasted projects using the existing system

· Identify and propose the right skilled and competent resources to deliver the published project requirements and complete the process with the relevant stakeholder to ensure successful resource deployment

· Proactively follow-up with any resource requirements that cannot be satisfied by the available pool by initiating an immediate, ad hoc, specific search with counterparts in other regions outside of MENA

· Identify and escalate the availability of resources to relevant stakeholder and resourcing managers

· Identify and report on recurring trends of project team effort/hours variances

· identify and report implications of future activity to manage capacity

· Contribute to continuous process improvement of the internal resourcing process, procedures, systems and reporting

· Contribute and share best practice with the MENA resourcing team to help ensure constant improvement


Qualifications & Skills:

· College degree MIS and/or Business management or equivalent

· Background in business performance improvement, that is, transformation projects, program management, supply chain, finance, customer and people organization & change management and standards within professional services.

· Self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision and able to manage a changing workload

· Ability to work under pressure and able to calmly prioritize conflicting demands

· Communication skills, aware of the importance of updating interested parties in a professional manner

· Attention to detail and able to manage data accurately
