- Management of creative work
» Discuss with creative, art, copy-writing, or production department heads to discuss client requirements and presentation concepts, and to coordinate creative activities and concepts to fulfil the client's brief.
» Confer with account management team and clients to determine objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles, techniques and selection of media.
» Contribute to strategic meetings of all assigned brands and has a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business and objectives.
» Supervise preparation and presentation of print, broadcast, multimedia, final layouts or online compositions for client approval.
» Work with creative directors to develop design solutions and new-business proposals and presentations.
» Mark up, paste, and complete layouts, and write typography instructions to prepare materials for typesetting or printing.
» Review illustrative material to determine if it conforms to standards and specifications.
» Visit and assess different locations for potential shoots and work on location.
» Attend photo shoots and printing sessions to ensure that the products needed are obtained.
» Negotiate with printers and estimators to determine what services will be performed.
» Prepare detailed storyboards showing sequence and timing of story development for television production.
» Produce sketches or 'storyboards' (television) or 'roughs' or 'scamps' (print) to communicate ideas to the client.
» Choose a photographer, an illustrator, models, and any props necessary for advertising.
» Gain an understanding of the target audience and business that the advert is aimed at.
» Work in editing suites to oversee the finished product.
» Lead brainstorms for creative concepts and strategies.
» Contribute actively on pitches Project Execution.
» Read script and confer with heads of production and direction to establish budget, schedules, and determine setting requirement and logistics specifications.
» Create and develop a visual response to communication problems including identifying the problem, researching, analysis, solution generating, prototyping, user testing and outcome evaluation.
» Work in an advisory role in the areas of advertising and branding paradigms in order to set new standards, procedures, and structure for the team.
» Review schedule daily to ensure allocation of staff resources and coordinate deliveries with other key team members.
» Provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables.
» Build and maintain relationship with clients, partner agencies, photographers, production companies, talent agencies and other vendors.
» Assign design resources for approved projects.
» Review and commission suitable talent, illustrations, photography or stock photos, film, and sound.
» Review and direct work of project teams, taking quality of design, strategic accuracy, and adherence to client goals and style guidelines into account.
- Team Management
» Plan and monitor the performance of the Team to ensure the delivery of quality services is in accordance with the Strategic Agenda.
» Hire, train and direct staff members who develop design concepts into art layouts or who prepare layouts for printing.
» Manage a staff of designers, develop the staff through performance management and giving consistent feedback, Identify with staff, developmental opportunities and training needs, and help them to work toward their professional goals.
University Degree Graphic Arts, Communication or Advertising
4-7 years in multinational agencies, preferably in Dubai - with experience in TVCs for FMCG
