Job Description

Detailed Description Primary Role: · To perform site surveys and data gathering exercises at various locations throughout the field. · Deliver discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project’s, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. · Responsible for design team activities and assisting Principal Designer and Engineers with resource scheduling and man hour reporting. · To liaise with the Client’s local Operations and Maintenance staff. · To provide field engineering support to the site team during construction, installation and commissioning activities. · To promote safe behaviour at all times. Principal Responsibilities: · Preparation of design drawings, 3D Model in SP3D / PDMS and Material Take-off (MTO) reports for projects. · Preparation and checking of all Civil & Structural design deliverables such as Civil/Foundation/Earthworks/Infrastructure/Architectural/Steel/Piperack layouts, Civil/Structural steel details, Ladder/Handrail/grating drawings, MTO, Reinforcement ladder bar bending schedule etc. · Interdisciplinary check of all Piping/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation drawings. · Review of vendor drawings for Equipment / Package items. · Produce drawings in AutoCAD. · To assist in the coordination of all activities related to the discipline.


Job Requirements              

Technical / Business Skills:

•              Proficient in 3D modelling with the use of SP3D / PDMS

•              Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Excel and Word.

•              Strong commitment to safety

•              Must be able to work to an agreed scope, budget and schedule.

•              An active listener with the ability to focus on customer requirements

•              Experience in Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design is required.

•              Operational support / construction and commissioning.

•              Experience in preparation and co-ordination of Civil / Structural deliverables

•              Compliance with WGPSN procedures and industry, international and Client Codes and standards.

•              Maintain suitable records of correspondence and work completed for reference and auditing purposes. 

•              Must be eligible and willing to make occasional visits to Kurdistan

•              Onshore Oil and Gas related Civil/Structural design experience

•              Thorough awareness of international codes and standards used for Civil/Structural design in Oil & Gas industry.

•              A determination to continually improve safety in all aspects of plant design and operation


Business & Industry Experience:

•              Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry

•              Previous proven capability in an engineering design company

•              Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred

•              Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage


Educational Attainments:

•              Diploma or HNC in Civil/Structural engineering (or equivalent)
