This opportunity is available on a fixed-term contract of up to 10 months but may also be suitable for an experienced freelance editorial professional.
We are looking for a Senior Development Editor to develop market-specific ELT materials within the Adaptation Unit. You will be joining a team dedicated to reacting quickly to market demands, and will manage a portfolio of projects, making sure they are published on time and within budget.
This role will involve working with in-house teams and external authors and freelancers. You will content edit, copyedit and proofread materials to ensure that they are developed to a high standard. As projects vary in size and schedule, the successful applicant will need to be flexible in their approach, but always highly organised and self-motivated.
You will be educated to degree level and will have a thorough understanding of the English Language Teaching environment, including teaching experience. You will have considerable ELT editorial experience, preferably working with upper primary and lower secondary materials, both print and digital. You should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. A working knowledge of French would be an advantage. We need a natural problem solver, who is able to multi-task, to join us in this supportive team.
