•Develop engineering instruction for contract engineering, procurement and construction. Ensure contractors are in compliance with specifications and instructions.
•Supervise field engineers constructing the production facilities. Review and approve field engineering requests for information or drawing changes.
•Participates in FAT of key electrical equipment at Suppliers premises.
•Prepare field cost and budget estimates and development work schedules. Provide field progress status reports.
•Ensure compliance with approved project budgets and schedules.
•Reviews and approves procedures for and supervise mechanical completion, commissioning and start up of the production facilities.
•Assists in preparation of regular PMT Engineering Progress Reports for Partners.
•Interface with other engineering disciplines assigned to the project internally and from partners or contractors.
•Coordinate with, the field construction site to review installation progress to maintain compliance with company specifications.
Chartered Engineer or equivalent
English, (French would be advantageous but not mandatory)
Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
15+ years experience in electrical engineering design, construction and commissioning of oil and gas processing facilities working either for an international Engineering Contractor and/or for an Operating Company.
Must have design, construction and commissioning experience in HV/LV switchgear, MCC’s, distribution and substations for plant installed in a remote desert location.
Must have specific experience covering fixed speed motor driven rotating equipment with driver sizes of approximately 6 MW.
Proven leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills are required.
