Job Description

Job Function   Supporting 2G to 3G migration in Pakistan, Middle East and Central Asia as well as 4G deployments in the region as appropriate. 
Growing Qualcomm market share within the wireless device segment in the region.
Define, plan, and manage the execution of Business Development initiatives for new mobile verticals such as Retail 2.0, mHealth, mEducation, Smart Cities, Connected Home and others. 
Build and maintain strategic relations with partners (mobile operators, distributors, retailers and other ecosystem stakeholders) at all levels within their organization to support these objectives.
Establish Qualcomm as a leading Thought Leader , Technology Provider and Preferred Employer in the region


Responsibilities   The selected candidate will have the regional responsibility to cover the following points in Pakistan and selected countries in the Middle East and Central Asia, including but not limited to the KSA:
Establish relations with new partners and develop relations with existing partners (mobile operators, distributors, retailers and other ecosystem stakeholders). Manage these relations locally, regionally and globally to the extent of the reach of each partner. 
Influence and impact strategy, deployment and launch decisions at Qualcomm partners. 
Overall responsibility for defining, planning and managing the execution of Business Development initiatives including: market sizing, defining target segments, aligning and prioritizing with internal stakeholders and with partners, establishing joint programs and related activities, drafting feasibility proposals and defining/tracking KPIs.
Drive all regional activities related to Qualcomm business development opportunities and ensure successful programs execution in the region.
Organize and facilitate partner meetings, workshops and events.
Acquire and build in-depth knowledge of the wireless sector in the region.


Basic Qualifications   Significant experience managing business development, marketing or account relationships within the mobile sector from the mobile infrastructure, IT, semiconductor or handset industry.
Established network of strong contacts within the wireless sector in the region, especially in Pakistan
Strong verbal and written communications skills in English, plus Urdu and/or Arabic is a plus 
Excellent interpersonal skills, extending to facilitation, mediation and negotiation. 
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
Exceptionally organized, punctual with strong multi-tasking capabilities.
Results oriented with a keen eye on details.
Highly motivated and proactive team player.
Flexibility for regional travel.
Eligible for travel visas/permits to Pakistan and relevant markets in the Middle Ea
Education Requirements   Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business Administration, Masters Degree is a plus.
