Job Description

Job description As a Mergers &Acquisition (M&A) Senior Manager, you'll lead M&A engagements. Working unsupervised and managing small teams, you will be required to meet with clients understand their needs including the nature and structure of the transactions. You will be required to understand the key business drivers, identify key issues and risks / conclusions and providing value to the client through insights, factual conclusions and advice and actively participate at meetings with clients and other advisers throughout the transaction process your responsibilities will also include maintain good relationships with key equity investors and financial institutions. 

You will be required to written communication skills to deliver high-quality client-focused documentation including Information Memorandum and Presentations. 

You will also play an important role in new business development including marketing, proposal preparation and follow up. 

You will be required to manage assignment quality and risk on a day-to-day basis; manage, coach and develop client service team members and to identify opportunities for the firm generally across their client base. Drawing on your experience, you'll assist in managing engagement economics by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders, ensuring that work complies with our Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) procedures. You'll also participate in business development initiatives. 

Other non-client related roles would include working effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress. As a Manager, you will be required to help create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and support their development. 



Technical skills requirements 

► Experience with respect to leading M&A transaction and Knowledge of the M&A transaction Process 

► Focus on developing business opportunity in Africa, Middle East, India and other Emerging Markets 

► Very good knowledge of financial statement analysis and valuation concepts 

► Understanding of Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) procedures 

► BD and M&A Experience - Focus on developing opportunity in Africa 

Additional skills requirements 

► Professional accountancy qualification 

► Strong academic record, including a degree 

► Excellent Analytical, interpersonal and Problem solving skills. 

► Demonstrate broad commercial and business acumen 

► Strong presentation skills & project management skills 

► Previous experience in working with multicultural teams 

► Effective time management skills, able to keep calm when under pressure to meet deadlines 

► Previous experience in the consulting arena and in one or more of the above technical competencies 

► Coaching and counselling skills 

► Team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all level 

► Effective written and verbal communication 

► Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
