Job Description

- To be responsible for leading, developing and managing the consumer FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet)products to optimise long term profitable contribution over the product life cycles.


- To proactively identify and deliver key product changes to reduce costs; improve quality of service and customer satisfaction; reduce fault and call drivers

- To own the product plan, development budget and road map for FTTC

- To manage key technical trials and ensure minimal cost and disruption while obtaining clear test results and recommendations. - To interpret test results and customer feedback to give recommendations to senior management

- To be responsible for managing key supplier relationships across BT Group to ensure effective delivery of product changes to benefit BT Retail and BT Retail customers including supporting and influencing Industry Forums

- To deliver major proposition changes to enable the proposition, sales and marketing teams to hit their volume and profit targets

- To ensure key product obligations are met: legal and regulatory obligations (e.g. code of practice), complaints handling, supply of appropriate information for training at product launches and in life

- To be the owner of key product information and an expert on the Infinity product set within the consumer team


- You will be a recognised expert in Broadband Technology and Products.

-  Strong Broadband Product Management experience in a portfolio/product management role, with a track record of commercial and/or technical achievement and P & L improvement

-  You must be able to demonstrate an indepth understanding of VDSL and ADSL Broadband technology and a working understanding of the limitations and opportunities of these technologies

-  Able to think commercially and strategically and to simplify complex requirements into key actions

-  Able to deliver to tight times scales, to innovate and 'think outside the box' to deliver products and solutions that meet customer's stated requirements

-  Able to analyse and understand key product performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities

-  Demonstrate experience in managing development budgets and running initiatives to reduce product costs

-  Demonstrate communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills to Director level

-  Demonstrate leadership and influencing skills at a senior level

-  Demonstrate strong project management skills
