Manage and maintain Virtualization Environment consisting of VMWare ESX Server and Virtual Center.
Manage and maintain Windows 2003, and Windows 2008 operating systems, installed in a standalone and clustered configurations.
Manage and maintain Chevron's DFS infrastructure.
Manage and maintain Chevron's Application Hosting Infrastructure consisting of Citrix, IIS and F5 (Load Balancing Network Appliance).
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and other automation tools as necessary.
Work effectively with other Chevron support groups (e.g. Network Support, Data Storage Support, Active Directory Support, etc.)
Monitor system performance and address issues relating to memory, network throughput, high CPU, etc.
Perform various other proactive support tasks required to support the windows infrastructure.
Plan and execute Disaster Recovery tests.
Be familiar with all aspects of troubleshooting and take part in the team's on-call rotation, in which support personnel are expected to be available on a periodic 24x7 basis.
Ensure that all components of the operating system and hardware infrastructure meet Corporate Security Standards and comply with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. As required, provide assistance to, and work with, internal and external auditors.
Support metrics reporting processes.
Proactively look for opportunities to improve efficiency.
Document processes and procedures for supported systems.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other related courses
At least 5 years experience in Server technologies
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical, teamwork and customer engagement skills
Amenable to working on shifting schedules
Enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
