Serve as a member of the senior leadership team for Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA) and be their focal point for finance-related matters.
Responsible for creating and maintaining a high standard of financial discipline, decision support, and accountability within the geography.
Be a key advisor and thought partner to the Group Executive, Group Country Managers, and Country Managers to facilitate delivery of the short-term financial targets as well as long-term growth targets.
Provide strong financial thought leadership as it relates to growth strategies, current performance, business case analysis of client incentive deals; sales, marketing and product initiatives; as well as pricing proposals.
Provide leadership to the business in the delivery of financial targets:
Ensure the Group Executive, Group Country Managers, and Country Managers and other functional leaders are regularly updated on financial performance; provide insight into key variances and business trends and identify risk and opportunities (plus mitigating actions) to ensure delivery of the short-term financial targets and long-term strategic targets
Lead the business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes within geography for Revenues, Client Incentives and Operating Expenses. Coordinate inputs from the various functions for both Revenues and costs, plus lead the review and challenge process
Provide thought leadership to the multi-year strategic planning process by delivering insightful financial analysis and perspective
Support cost center managers in understanding expenditure, accruals and prepayments and improving the timing and accuracy of forecasts
Provide financial analysis and advice for new business propositions including client incentive deals, marketing campaigns, product and acceptance initiatives, capital investment and other projects.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of pricing dynamics in the geography, including competitive pricing and positioning. Provide leadership and financial analysis support for pricing proposals.
Track the financial performance and provide advice for implementation of new business joint-ventures, acquisitions and strategic business initiatives.
Be the focal point of contact for senior management on finance-related matters in the geography.
Champion the creation and maintenance of high standards of financial discipline and accountability within the geography
Promote education and understanding of Visa’s revenues
Effectively translate financial analysis to non-finance professionals to ensure full understanding of business linkages to proposals
Strategic Nature, Management Accountability, &Scope
There are four key geographic clusters in CEMEA, namely Russia, CIS/SEE, Middle East North Africa (MENA) and Sub Saharan Africa (SSA). Collectively, they cover about 80 markets, which are mostly in the emerging stage of development.
This role is a key business partner to the Group Executive, CEMEA, and will play a critical role as a senior member of CEMEA leadership team in setting strategy and managing the business activities across the four geographical clusters to deliver the financial targets and the strategic development of future growth opportunities. He/she will be the focal point of contact for senior management on finance-related matters in the geography. This role will be very visible among Visa executives and proactively liaise with the Controller, Finance Operations, Treasury and FP&A teams in Foster City, Singapore, and Finance staff in other geographies as appropriate to resolve escalated issues as needed.
Decision Making & Complexity
This is a senior FP&A role responsible for insightful performance analysis and financial decision support. This role will shape and influence key decisions involving client contracts and various strategic initiatives. While not directly responsible for controllership activities, this role will closely observe and regularly report on the effectiveness of financial controls and compliance.
Financial & Organizational Scope
The job holder will support all management within the geography and will liaise functionally with both Foster City and Singapore and, as required, other Visa Inc. hubs.

The job holder should be a college graduate, business degree preferred, with 10 years of FP&A experience with a recognized, performance-driven multi-national company:
At least 15 years of commercial experience
Proven commercial and analytical experience, including FP&A roles in a business unit within a global organization
Prior experience successfully communicating with, influencing and presenting to senior-level executives
Demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple initiatives with tight timelines
Working knowledge of financial controls and procedures, gained from experience with a major ERP package, preferably Oracle
International experience ideally within a complex, matrix management organization
Knowledge of the payments industry, in particular the credit/debit card business within a banking or eCommerce environment, is highly desirable
Advanced Business degree would be an advantage
