Job Description

The post of Technical Field Specialist offers varied technical support and sales work, and involvement in key business processes. The successful candidate will provide expertise and support to sales representatives and customers across different countries and cultures.


  • In field technical support in the area aligned with key industrial segments (e.g. power generation, sugar mills, mining companies)
  • Support the value proposition of our offering to these sectors with ability to clearly define and communicate the economic value to the customer 
  • Execution of the sales process with key accounts aligned with our segment strategies 
  • Responsible for financial performance of assigned customer including sales volumes, revenue and customer profitability
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the power generation segment across export markets
  • Support sales representatives with expertise on equipment and product line application aligned with focused segments
  • Provide assistance in solving customer problems and identifying solutions for complex customer product or application issues
  • Assist in performing complex lubrication surveys or equipment inspections in support of our value proposition
  • Provide input into marketing for key sectors that aids in programs and value proposition development
  • Mentor and coach sales representatives to build organization capability to support value proposition deployment
  • Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering / Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) would be beneficial
  • UK sales and export experience ideally gained over a period of 3+ years would be desirable
  • Knowledge of Natural Gas Engines and power generation expertise
  • A self-motivated, enthusiastic, high-energy individual with good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • High credibility with clients
  • Ability to meet objectives with minimal supervision
  • International travel is a requirement of this position (25%)
