Reporting to the Group Head of Product Development, you’ll manage the Technical Project Management team to facilitate delivery of Central Product technical development activities. You’ll allocate technical resources, as defined in the demand plan, identify resource gaps in capacity or capability and own mitigating action, and facilitate prioritisation, monitor progress for global and regional initiatives, identify and drive opportunities for improvements. You’ll also support establishment and management of appropriate governance systems and processes required for delivery of Central Product activities.
You’ll be degree educated and have extensive experience of Product, New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or working in a global planning or portfolio management role within a blue chip consultancy and/or FTSE100 equivalent organization (as a guideline, you’ll have at least eight years’ post graduate work experience). You’ll also have excellent interpersonal skills, process knowledge a working knowledge of conventional product and component design, experience in driving for stretch deliverables and strong stakeholder management and analytical skills.
Ideally, you’ll have experience of successfully navigating a complex geographical/functional matrix organisation and an understanding of managing BAT’s Innovation Programmes, systems, processes and business strategy.
