Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Projects Manager, you’ll direct and deliver technical projects or project work streams involving the development of new and innovative cigarette technologies and processes, such as, papers, filtration, leaf, blend and new or novel materials.

You’ll also interpret data submitted for Management/Technical Review, represent BAT with suppliers working in partnership on innovation projects and with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, compose technical reports, publications and presentations for external forums and participate in industry forums and working groups. 


Essential requirements 
You’ll have demonstrable technical experience of product design and development, with a good understanding of directly relevant concepts, principles, methods, processes and techniques. You’ll also have a relevant professional or academic achievement in the Engineering field (equivalent to 1st degree), a good awareness of technical developments in the FMCG field and good communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability work well in a flexible team environment. 

Desirable requirements 
Ideally, you’ll have cigarette industry experience in delivering projects using Prince2 methodology, advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and Microsoft Project skills in addition to CAD proficiency and membership of a Technical Institution (at Associate level or above).
