The Senior Business Leader, Business Planning & Operations, will support the Group Executive, CEMEA by:
Ensuring the continuing operations of the CEMEA group of countries while driving organizational and process changes to further integrate business practices with the Global Business Units and Functions
Assisting in the management of business operations through effective deployment and engagement of resources
Collaborating with sales and matrixed functions to achieve business objectives.
Driving business performance by raising productivity and performance standards.
Driving action in the Group Executives absence and broaden bandwidth.
This role is based in Dubai and reports to the Group Executive CEMEA, also based in Dubai. Will interact closely with Country Managers and Functional heads / colleagues across CEMEA, as well as others from the wider global teams.
Support the CEMEA Group Executive in business planning, strategy development and to achieve agreed targets including with matrixed functions to support strategic business goals of Visa Inc.
Improve effectiveness of operational management of the CEMEA Leadership Team (CLT) through partnering and directing key stakeholders and building strong and collaborative relationships with the CLT members.
In conjunction with country management, develop integrated CEMEA market plans and reporting in support of corporate revenue growth targets.
Interface between CEMEA to global headquarters for corporate priorities.
Participate in Client related decision making bodies as delegated by the Group Executive: e.g. GIG, CIRC, and Pricing Committee.
Oversee legal entities and operations as delegated by the Group Executive which may include participating on their boards
Work with global functions to ensure their services support business development and investment opportunities. Take lead in managing and maximizing return on all resources applied across the CEMEA group of countries including sales, product, marketing, acceptance and operational resources.
Facilitates, guides and promotes collaboration and teamwork across CEMEA through ensuring effective engagement of functional resources
Facilitates financial targets/goals through effective commitment and support of functional business units.
Provide leadership and direction for all market priorities and all corresponding requirements on resource allocation.
Ensure that strategic plans for the markets are developed with, understood and shared by the supporting functions within Visa Inc.
Successful implementation of the Acceleration Strategies across CEMEA
Design, coordination and management of CEMEA senior management agenda and meeting
Active member of the relevant Senior Management Committees across CEMEA, to provide appropriate levels of support and direction to the team.
Provide thought leadership on strategic issues and monitor decisions of the committee against actions.
Ongoing monitoring and actions relating to QPRs / MYPs / AOP / Country Acceleration Plans. Ensure focus on important variances, trends, issues.
Build effective partnerships with the functions to ensure they are aligned to supporting priorities, in-market initiatives etc. Drive accountability for performance
Program management and reporting of key strategic programs/projects across the geography. Able to take ownership of key cross functional projects and drive to a successful business strategy and its implementation.
Undertake regular reviews of all projects / activities and collate / distribute status updates to senior management. This will include providing recommendations for the re-prioritization / sequencing of projects as the portfolio progresses and identifying project overlaps across the region.
Provide Analytics based insights and recommendations to the market and functional heads on optimization of business performance and achievement of strategic objectives. Collaborate with finance, functional and market heads to put in place rigorous business performance measures.
Together with project owner, develop new project business cases and project plans. This will include ensuring projects are in line with market strategy and have the support of all impacted functions.
Undertake assessment of completed projects to ensure deliverables are consistent with project goals.
Provide internal compliance guidance by working with cross-functional teams to ensure highest internal audit ratings. Lead cross-functional/geographic process improvement initiatives.
Represent the region in coordinating updates and action plans with the global corporate strategy, enterprise risk and other teams.
Recommend solutions to identified roadblocks relating to individual projects and across all areas of the business.
Initiation, management and reporting of key strategic initiatives/projects across CEMEA, including liaison between CMs and functional hub based resources
Design/delivery of monthly consolidated reporting to the Group Executive, including company required reporting (from a range of functions/geographies)
Develop robust investment business cases for initiatives in conjunction with Finance, Strategy and the sub-regional BPO teams and feed into the existing investment planning processes
Monitor performance against plan and ensure projects are phased and re-prioritized as required
The role requires that the role holder has the knowledge and experience to provide guidance and steers on behalf of, and without reference to, the GCM and to take decisions as required to ensure timely progress.
The role holder must interface regularly with senior executives in the company, to align business and functional priorities, to secure resources and to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
The candidate will be required to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management within Visa.
Central in the co-ordination and planning to Visa business in market to meet or exceed targets established through the planning process within allocated budgets. Focus on understanding the business targets and the geographies strategy to achieve these including growing the existing business, identifying new business opportunities and introducing and implementing new products and services.
