Graphic Design / Web Developer - Using a combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge of how web pages are created, the work involves: Working with the client and other stakeholders to understand the design concept and advising on how it can be implemented technically.
Coordinating and reporting of client meetings and evaluation
Talking to clients to get a clear understanding of their visual communication requirements and develop design ‘roughs’ (sketches)
Translating a client's marketing or informational requirements into a functional website which is attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required
Preparing comprehensive layouts of the design using techniques such as photography, illustration and computer-generated imagery give designs to clients for approval
Mapping or outlining a website's structural layout
Styling templates of approved website layout.
Design and implementation of web pages for various corporate clients.
5 years Web Design experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Candidate must be self-sufficient and have good English oral and written communications skills.
Bachelors degree from a recognized 4 year university or equivalent experience. BS in Computer Science preferred.
Excellent understanding of the workings and implementation of Cascading Style Sheets
Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects
Coordinating with programmers for specialized scripts deciding on how images and other material will be digitally optimized and presented for the web
Ensuring that material on the web site is accessible to all groups including those with disabilities;
Posting completed site to internet server using FTP software
Fixing errors and making changes to the site directed by client
Optimizing websites for high search engine rankings and submitting completed site to search engines
Must be able to continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge. This may mean learning new programming languages or technologies.
Must be able to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers, screen resolutions and across computing platforms
Natural presentation and sales skills, particularly in areas of technical data and e-Business issues Ability to clearly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for self-produced technical work and job processes

Web Design and Applications involve the standards for building and Rendering Web pages, including HTML, CSS, SVG, Ajax, and other technologies for Web Applications (“WebApps”).
Proficient in various web design programs including HTML,XHTML, DHMTL, Adobe Photoshop, Shockwave, Dreamweaver, Perl, Microsoft Expression Studio (Web3 & Design), FrontPage, In Design and other GUI design software
Web Architecture focuses on the foundation technologies and principles which sustain the Web, including URLs and HTTP.
Web of Services:
Web of Services refers to message-based design frequently found on the Web and in enterprise software. The Web of Services is based on technologies such as HTTP, XML, SOAP, WSDL, SPARQL, and others.
Web of Devices:
Developer should be focusing on technologies to enable Web access anywhere, anytime, using any device. This includes Web access from mobile phones and other mobile devices as well as use of Web technology in consumer electronics, printers, interactive television, and even automobiles.
Browsers and Authoring Tools:
The web's usefulness and growth depends on its universality. Designer should be able to publish regardless of the software in use, the computer, the language, wired or wireless, regardless of sensory or interaction modes. We should be able to access the web from any kind of hardware that can connect to the Internet - stationary or mobile, small or large
