Job Summary
The Receptionist is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support in the Commission
Job Responsibilites
- Receives, assists and/or directs all visitors to the Division accordingly
- Answers all official telephone calls to the Division
- Manages the visitors’ waiting room
- Screens and directs visitors to the appropriate staff member
- Responds to public inquiries
- Assists in making preparations for general staff and committee meetings
- Assists in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and conference telephone calls
Job Requirements
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Handle enquiries in a courteous and professional manner by telephone and in person
- Customer friendly personality and disposition
- Excellent communication skills; with good spoken and written English
- Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system, computer and other standard office equipment
- Ability to type accurately, and conversant with MS Office suite
- Must possess excellent telephone skills with an ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls with courtesy, speed and accuracy
Educational / Professional Qualification
Must possess HND in Secretarial Administration
Work Experience
Minimum of 2 years in a similar secretarial position
