The job of a project manager is to operate the expansive stream of project management and it can be a wide range of streams such as computer networking, software development, building and construction projects and architecture as well. There are many duties which include planning, execution and successful completion of the task or project undertaken.

Duties and Responsibilities

*The main responsibility of a project manager is the execution and completion of the project aims within a fixed tenure perfectly.

*He or she has the responsibility to fix the goals and objectives realistically that is in lines with company objectives and goals.

*He or she has to provide satisfactory service to the clients by assuring that they meet the needs of the client with optimum utilization of cost, money, time, and other resources.

*He or she has the responsibility to stick to the allotted budget and make the project successful.

*He or she needs to complete the project by recruiting the man power that would be instrumental.

*He or she has to monitor the performance of the employees and has to motivate the team for producing better performances and results.

*He or she also needs to provide adequate training to his subordinates, team members etc in executing the project successfully when needed.

*It will be needed to work with many people so ahs to maintain the coordination with stakeholders of the project and outsiders.

Skills and Specifications

*COMMUNICATION SKILLS: The person needs to have strong communication skills both verbally and written.

*INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: He or she should necessarily have interpersonal skills to establish and maintain nice working relationship with the clients.

*TEAM WORKING SKILLS: The person should have the ability to work in a team with the motivation skills.

*The person needs to be very well versed with every minute detail of the project.

*TROUBLE SHOOTING SKILLS: He or she should have the problem solving skills to address various barriers and obstacles in the successful completion of the project.

*He or she should have a very strong ability to interact and deal tactfully as well with all the stakeholders, vendors, other outsiders and customers to handle complaints.

Qualifications and Educations

*The minimum degree required is a bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering, technology or related stream.

*The other requirement for the job is having an advanced degree which will surely up the chances of getting even better contracts as well.

*He or she should have the knowledge of the basic computers and should be very well versed with MS Office.

*The other skills required for the job are good presentation, leadership and organization skills.
