Job Summary
As a key member of the UAE CA team, the candidate will focus on efficiently supporting Business and Corporate Communications activities in the UAE by ensuring that the Bank’s agenda in the areas of Public Affairs, Internal and External Communications are well implemented.
Job Responsibilites
Working closely with the senior external and internal communication managers to deliver on the following:
External Communications & Media Relations
•Plan and implement a country-focused external communications strategy to deliver the Bank and the Group’s key messages effectively
•Establish and maintain personal contacts with editors and key journalists from major local and international media
•Ensure the Bank maintains a high share of voice in the media
•Ensure discipline, “One Voice” and adherence to brand guidelines and Group policy in the area of communications with external stakeholders
•Work closely with internal stakeholders in order to deliver on their external communications needs
• Monitor and manage trends and developments in the use of the media, and facilitate media relations audits which include competitive analysis
• Ensure that the external website delivers up-to-date information on the Ghana franchise and that it becomes a relevant reference point for the visitors
• Ensure appropriate training for spokespeople and ensure access to the press is controlled
• Develop country key message documents and maintain key data points that back up the strategic business plan
Internal Communications
•Plan and implement an effective internal communications strategy and structure within the country
•Establish and maintain personal contact with all function heads in order to deliver tailor-made communications for their teams
•Ensure discipline, “One Voice” and adherence to brand guidelines and Group policy in the area of internal communications
•Work closely with internal stakeholders in order to deliver on their internal communications needs
•Successfully introduce innovation in the internal communications effort in order to support staff engagement
•Ensure that iConnect delivers up-to-date information on Ghana and that it becomes a relevant reference point for the staff
•Conduct regular internal communication audits to gauge effectiveness of channels used and whether messages are understood
Reporting
•Ensure delivery of monthly, quarterly and half yearly dashboard, reports and measurement tools
•Ensure coverage is promptly reporter to concerned business head
Job Requirements
Emirati Nationals are encouraged to apply
Some experience in corporate communications preferred
Enthusiasm to learn and develop media skills
Good all round communication skills
Flexibility and willingness to deal with new subjects, challenging current ways of working and influencing people.
Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic
Strong emphasis on multi-tasking and ability to prioritise workload is essential
Time management and organisational skills
