Job Description

A media company has a vacancy for a Digital Media Specialist, responsible for selling online inventory on behalf of publishers and radio stations represented. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Digital Media Specialist will be managing a portfolio of advertising agencies and their respective clients, and aggressively prospecting for new business.

Minimum requirements for this role:

a. Tertiary education in sales / marketing
b. At least 4 years’ experience in advertising / media sales environment
c. Understanding of marketing tools: Ad Relevancer, Adex, and Sociomonitor
d. Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and telephonic
e. Strong interpersonal skills and team player
f. Ability to work under pressure and a high stress tolerance level
g. Extended working hours without additional remuneration

Duties and responsibilities:
a. To sell online inventory and managing a portfolio of advertising agencies and their respective clients
b. Obtain, analyze and apply market intelligence
c. Set portfolio revenue budgets relevant to your portfolio
d. Develop a portfolio sales strategy to achieve set budgets
e. To develop a detailed action plan to fulfil the sales strategy
f. Drive and actively engage in the sales process to ensure advertiser needs are met
g. Monitoring of annual commitments and regular tracking of spend trends
h. Develop new business and maintain existing business
