Job summary

The CSR programme is one of the key transformation enablers of the Company, along with innovation, brand, culture, talent and leadership. As such it touches every part of the organization globally.

The CSR programme has the ambition to embed CSR in the corporate mindset and make it an intrinsic part of the company strategy, as well as leverage Company's role within the financial industry as a facilitator of CSR activities and initiatives that would be of collective interest and benefit to the financial services community. The Director of CSR will lead the efforts to deliver ambition.

The programme includes social, educational and environmental activities.

The role would need to establish strong relationships with members of the Executive/ Top Management of the Company as well as the Director of HR.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Define, develop and implement CSR/ environmental strategies, scorecards and action plans that contribute to the delivery of Company's CSR vision, mission and objectives;

* Build the foundation for a more formal CSR reporting, working on initiatives such as the UN Global Compact e.t.c;

* Work closely with the Communications team to develop effective internal and external communications strategies;

* Coordinate the overall administration, processes and budget of the programme;

* Report to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors as appropriate on progress, strategic issues and budget allocation;

* Manage the CSR EMEA Committee and work closely with the other CSR regional committees to develop synergies;

* Engage with all internal and external stakeholders, and develop an external network of CSR managers, leading to leveraging Company's role in the financial industry.

* Manage a team as well as a number of people who have CSR activities formally allocated to them in other teams within the organisation.


University and Post Graduate degree or equivalent by experience


* Familiar with global environment and CSR practices and legislations where appropriate

* Demonstrated success in developing, executing and sustaining corporate CSR programmes

* Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills

* Strong work and personal ethic

* Ability to influence and motivate teams

* Proven people management skills

* Fluency in English (both written and oral),

* Fluency in a foreign Language would be an asset


* At least 3-5 years of relevant experience working in the area of CSR ideally in an international organisation, with experience at Executive levels.

* Proven track record in programme management (processes, budget, planning, resourcing, etc).

* Experience in dealing with International Organizations or NGO would be an added advantage

* Preferably experienced in stakeholders engagement and/or community investment.

* Preferably experienced in financial industry.
