If there were a job description it would read as follows: To serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by production of the most creative pastries and deserts, for the enjoyment of Anantara Resort guests. Supervises, plans, organizes, directs, and participates in the centralized production of highly specialized bakery and pastry menu items. Schedule, train, supervise and coordinate the work.
Members of the Kitchen Department are responsible for ensuring that all visitors to the hotel are delighted by the quality, creativity and variety of our food and beverage offerings in every area of the hotel, and that F&B is regarded as a strong point of differentiation for the hotel in its local market.
Reasonable (1-3 years) experience in managing and participating in the operation of a large scale bakery production center
Specialty cake decorating and pastry production
Food service management, including associate supervision and inventory control
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Experience working with a diverse population
Creative,innovative and self-motivated individual with strong commitment to teamwork and customer service
