Job Description

    The Executive Officer will provide strategic management to the office ofthe Country Director and also ensure the  effective coordination and functioning of the Management Team.

    The jobholder will develop and operationalize an effective and efficient management system to ensure proper functioning of the Country Director's office.

    The jobholder will review activity memos and also assist the Country Director in providing prompt and effective feedback to the Project Directors and Program staff.

    The jobholder will participate in work planning and strategic review of documents.

    The jobholder will manage the communication between the Country Director and donors as well as development partners.

    The job holder will play a pivotal role of effectively coordinating all programmatic and administrative activities within the Country Director's office.


    Minimum of Masters Degree in Social Sciences, Business or other relevant field.

    Experience in Program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

    Minimum of 4 years of experience assisting senior executives and managing their offices.

    Project support/back-stopping, health and international experience are strongly preferred.

    Demonstrated experience and interest in health sector, policy issues and international development.
