Job Summary

As a Manager you will manage a wide range of projects, developing your project management, analytical and interpersonal skills. You will get involved in managing client assignments as well as managing on-site EY teams on an adhoc basis. 
You will currently be a high flyer within a Finance Performance Improvement practice of a major consulting or advisory firm, operating in the financial services sector or alternatively you will be working for a major wholesale bank/capital markets / retail banking or insurance organisation in their finance function, where you may have been working on change projects. Job Requirements

Professional Experience 
Working with CFOs in leading financial organisations, our finance professionals help assess and transform the finance function to improve performance and effectiveness. They provide insights and recommendations on people, processes and systems and then work with clients to deliver improvements. We are looking for professionals with exposure to / experience in, one or more of the following areas: 

  • A successful track record in Wholesale Banking / Capital Markets / Retail Banking / Insurance experience gained either through a top tier consultancy (Big 4, IBM, Accenture etc) or top tier bank

  • Broad knowledge of banking support functions, in particular Product Control and Finance, and their key processes

  • Finance / Product Control change management / transformation experience, including an understanding of how IT change supports this

  • Strong knowledge of the spectrum of capital markets cash and OTC products, in particular their accounting / processing

    • Profile/Skills 
  • Desire to build / develop a career in advising our clients with Finance / Product Control / Operations improvements

  • Strong interest and commitment to understanding and developing leading edge Finance solutions to our industry clients

  • Intellectual strength / flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems and rationalise these into a workable solution which can then be delivered

  • Appreciation (and ideally experience of some or all) of EY’s solutions / go to market abilities and how these service client needs

  • Ability to operate with stakeholders / manage projects which potentially span all functions within client organisations

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder communities with varying levels, experiences and agenda

  • High level of drive, commitment to achieving solutions and ability to work under pressure

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong team player

  • Flexibility to travel to, and work in, other locations

    • Qualifications
  • Excellent graduate level education, minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent
  • Accounting / finance qualification or the desire to work towards a qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CPA CFA etc)
