Logistics Officer Full Time

Lagos, Nigeria | HND | 3 - 5 years | Full Time | Male or Female | Business Supplies and Equipment | Logistics / Transportation

Job Summary


The person should have attained degree in Business Administration, Engineering or any other related field with a combination of experience in such areas as transport or logistic operations/management; supply chain management may be accepted in lieu of any academic qualification 




  • Prepare logistics and support plans

  • Develop deployment timelines and budget requirements for planned or new operations.

  • Develop logistical plans for existing operations.

  • Develop logistics contingency plans

  • Develop and implement methodologies and tools to enable effective execution of logistic plans.

  • Formulate standard operating procedures.

  • Manage logistics operates including materials and personnel.

  • Ensure timely, accountable and cost effective delivery of cargos and personnel.

  • Identify additional training needs to achieve high working standards.

  • Coordinate logistics activities with procurement, finance, humanitarian affairs and other substantive units.

  • Prepare reports on personnel and materials movement and other operational   logistics issues.

  • Identify, plan and manage special logistics operations.

  • Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained.

  • Ability to deploy to remote locations and to operate independently for short durations in austere conditions on short notice for limited durations

  • Display interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with logistics counterparts

  • Ability to establish priorities

  • Demonstrate management skills
