Job Description

The Work Placement Senior Officer establishes and maintains partnerships with government, semi-government and private sector employers to identify assess and secure placement opportunities for students who are required to undertake work experience as part of their curriculum. The incumbent works closely with the Employer Relations Coordinator to design and implement a comprehensive and integrated plan for the preparation, placement and assessment of students and employers before, during, and after work placement activities. She/he also works closely with employers, academic department chairs, faculty and the Work Placement Officer to ensure effective implementation of the work placement plan.


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Human Resources or related field
Minimum of 3 years experience in a related field within a tertiary education environment
Full awareness of the Nigeria employer environment
Evidence of strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to inspire, motivate and supervise students within the context of work experience activities
Ability to design processes that will improve the effectiveness of work placement processes
Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds
Ability to work in a leadership capacity
Excellent computer skills relating to the use of MS software
