Looking for a professional engineer with at least fifteen (15) years of experience who is fully competent in the different aspects of water distribution/transmission, wastewater and stormwater collection and conveyance studies, design and operation. The incumbent shall have in-depth knowledge of conventional and the latest standards, codes, materials of construction etc., relevant to water, wastewater and stormwater networks. S/he should be capable of independently evaluate, select and apply standard and advanced engineering techniques and procedures.
Important elements of the position are to provide leadership to a team of technical staff delivering conveyance projects, and to assist in identifying and acquiring new conveyance projects and the necessary additional staff resources.
The candidate will serve as a senior conveyance technologist with roles that may consist of design manager, team leader and/or lead design engineer in small to large conveyance projects.
Projects components include planning, studies, preliminary design, final design, and services during construction. Project study and design assignments include conveyance facilities, including liquid storage facilities, pump stations for transfer of liquids and solids, piping, and controls systems. Study evaluations include alternatives analysis, methods for implementation, condition assessment and cost analysis.
Project design assignments include cross - disciplinary design supervision and design coordination, preparation of construction plans and bid document specifications, office engineering construction support, coordination with facility operations staff, start-up assistance, and contract administration.
In this role, the Senior conveyance engineer is expected to provide a major contribution to business development and to the fostering of client relationships.
