Job Summary

Reporting to the Regional Manager in the UK, as Product Specialist position for Connectivity you will enable the field sales team to deliver on top line sales in the area of connected vitals, cardiopulmonary, and continuous monitoring. Your primary responsibilities will be in the pre-sales area working well qualified opportunities with the field sales team to provide an enhanced level of technical and professional expertise to selling connected device solutions.
You will partner with field sales, field sales leadership, marketing & R&D to increase the sale of Welch Allyn software and devices. This position will serve as the field expert in the area of connected devices and workflows. They should be able to communicate effectively with customers in terms of IT issues as well as various workflow environments. 

Job Responsibilites

Serve as the lead field resource in the area of connected devices, network installations and EMR connectivity options. 

Make joint field sales calls and presentations to end user customers helping our field sales team sell our connected vitals and cardio solution. 

Help prepare proposals and presentations. 

Correspond both verbally and via written format with a high degree of professionalism with end user customers, technical partners, distributor partners and internal team mates.

Interact with both clinical and IT professionals in hospitals and large clinic environments where a high level of IT/EMR knowledge and understanding is needed to continue to move a sales opportunity forward toward close. 

Interact at a high level in terms of technical capabilities with EMR partners. 

Participate in senior level meetings or communications with IT professionals and/or Clinical experts where a better understanding of network, connectivity or workflow requirements is needed from the customer in order to provide the best Welch Allyn solution.

Key projects include any IDN (Integrated Delivery Network) opportunity that will involve connected devices or monitoring. 

In addition to supporting the vitals and continuous monitoring opportunities with networks and EMRs in hospitals and clinics, this person will work closely with the Integrated Solutions Team to insure collaboration across all EMR partners. 

Job Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent degree required.

Some selling experience with complex selling processes and connectivity helpful preferably with medical devices

Experience working with IT professionals as well as knowledge of networks

EMR (Electronic Medical Record) data transfer knowledge helpful

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong background in working collaboratively within a team selling environment

Results driven person able to communicate effectively in a complex selling process

Ability to develop and maintain industry expertise and function well within a team

Ability to think strategically and act tactfully to drive results is critical

Some knowledge of the HL7 framework (and related standards) for the exchange, integration, sharing and retrieval of electronic health information

Technical knowledge of networking (LAN, WLAN, RLAN, etc.), network security policies, wireless communications devices, and PC based systems particularly in a medical environment

Working understanding of the issues affecting medical device deployment in a hospital or clinical setting, for example, addressing wireless shielding issues is helpful

Some exposure to the regulatory requirements laid out in IEC 60601-1-2, FCC Part 15.247 and EN 301-328 helpful
