Job Summary :
The Regional Construction Manager will be responsible for building and managing multiple project teams for major projects as Reporting to the General Manager, the Regional Construction Manager is a functional manager who is responsible for embracing a safety culture, mentoring qualified staff, assisting in PM/CM business development and promoting the industry. In addition, the successful individuals should be results oriented with the ability to communicate well with multiple stakeholders who vary in interests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Experience in various forms of alternative delivery, such as design-bid-build, design build, and construction management. At-Risk Construction experience is desirable.

* Provide guidance to senior construction managers on overall management direction for project planning, scheduling, resources and budget tracking for several large construction projects or segments.

* Work with senior managers to provide construction management input towards project management strategies for engineering design, procurement, tender process, contract negotiations and award, and commissioning.

* Command an active role in the development of the safety culture of the construction management team. Making safety a natural part of all work performed.

* Develop the site resourcing plan and selecting/mobilizing the construction management team.

* Generate weekly and monthly reports to present to senior management.

* Develop high level construction organization chart and staffing plans.

* Monitor construction and financial activities through direct reports.

* Report progress and status of construction management to the Director of Construction Management.

* Responsible for the implementation of strategic construction management programs and policies for their functional group, impacting the Global Brand.

* Develops regional plans, including business and organizational priorities.

* Produces integrated solutions to strategic issues and presents recommendations to senior leaders.

Job Requirements :

* Technical/Engineering/Mechanical/Civil Related HND or Bachelors Degree.

* Masters or Postgraduate Degree in a Management, Administrative or Business related field. (This requirement can be waived for Applicants with a minimum of 15 years of experience in large scale construction projects.)

* Certifications or Trainings in Project Management and/or related field will be an advantage.

* Have a track record of completing various projects with significant Construction Management experience on such projects.

* The position will have a high impact on the Company’s business results at the functional level.

* Ability to troubleshoot and develop strategic implementation plans for new concepts and ideas as required by senior management and business objectives.

* Ability to effectively communicate and present construction management program proposals and reports to senior level management is critical.

* Proven capability of completing constructability reports and construction execution plans.

* Have a full understanding of project cost control and capable of assisting senior managers in managing project costs, schedules and issues.
