Residential Apartment Maintenance Officer Job Description

*The job of a residential apartment maintenance manager is to ensure that the residential apartment or apartments under his jurisdiction are provided with all facilities and are well maintained in terms of sanitation, electrical requirements and hygiene.

*He reports to the residential apartment manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

*Monitor the functioning of various technicians such as plumbers, electricians and carpenters in maintenance works

*Ensure that quality and standards are maintained in all works

*Ensuring that the residents are not inconvenienced by lack of proper maintenance

*Going through complaints by residents and ensuring that the problems are solved at the earliest

*Making regular reports to the residential apartment manager regarding maintenance works

*Planning budgets for residential apartment maintenance

*Giving troubleshooting solutions is times of accidents

*Making decisions about purchase of new equipments for the apartment buildings

*Plan and schedule various maintenance works such as cleaning the surroundings, cleaning septic tanks and maintenance of other sanitation facilities, maintaining the laws, gardens and other such amenities

*Ensuring security arrangements for apartment buildings

*Documenting all details of maintenance works

*Allocating responsibilities to workers

*Handling payments of workers involved in maintenance

*Hiring new workers whenever necessary

*Ensuring that all safety and security measures are installed

*Ability to handle different maintenance requirements and manage number of workers

Education and Qualification

*High school graduation followed by a certified course in electrical, civil, mechanical engineering is basic
