Job Description

Are you a Sales Professional who proactively drives Sales, builds productive customer relationships and who can work effectively with operational & technical teams?   Johnson Controls is hiring! We are looking for our Sales Engineer for the Offshore business, to manage and strengthen our customer relationships and to drive sales revenue in the Middle East. The focus is mainly on UAE and other Gulf states, to be extended as the business grows. This strategic sales role involves some travel in the region and to the Global Marine and Navy headquarters in Denmark. The function is located in Dubai.   We look a relational Sales Professional with a solid technical knowledge of Marine HVAC and refrigeration, able to deliver in a multicultural environment.  


  • Promote Johnson Controls solutions and service to offshore customers in the region
  • Developing a network of contacts and long term partnerships in the region, ensuring to reference Johnson Controls on the Makers lists
  • Acting as frontline for all offshore stakeholders: shipyards, owners and consultants in the area
  • Getting inquiries and following up on quotations
  • Following up on sales processes and on the screening of customers
  • Negotiating contracts, understanding payment terms and shipping terms
  • Coordinating the implementation of projects
  • Building a solid knowledge of the rules in the Offshore sector
  • Reporting into the General Sales Manager in Dubai.


  • Experience in refrigeration/HVAC and sales to the Offshore market
  • Track record of relationship building and networking – having an existing network in the offshore business definitely is a strong point
  • Strong Team player with a "can do" attitude
  • Entrepreneurial approach, understanding the customers’ business and bringing them our added value
  • Good listening and analytical skills
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills
  • Able to interact and negotiate at all levels in the organization
  • Fluency in English.
